Rita Barker

Teacher and Principal

Rita opened the Dance Workshop Studios in Moseley Birmingham in 1996. She wanted to bring dance to the community and show how everyone can dance no matter how old. She studied for a dance and cultural arts degree as a mature student of 38. Beside that she is a qualified ballet and modern dance teacher and also a Pilates and Yoga teacher.

Ashlyn runs her own classes here at the studios. Her energetic classes are open to all. 

Joelle Barker

Pilates Teacher

Joelle is part of our Bodyworks team. Bodyworks is the wellness and fitness department of the studios. Her calm and encouraging approach instils confidence in her students and is a true inspiration. Joelle is also a professional musician and attained an honours degree at SOAS University in London. She is fully trained in ballet, tap and contemporary dance
