Rita Barker SCHOOL OF DANCE

The School

Rita Barker School of Dance was established in 1980- originally in Acocks Green until 1995 when the school moved to Moseley. Many of our former students have gone on to performing arts schools and Dance college over the years. Some went on to teach dance themselves in both schools and colleges. We enter children into examinations twice yearly through International Dance Teachers Association.

We start our classes from 4  years in ballet and tap and we run classes for older students who wish to further their skills and techniques in ballet, contemporary jazz, tap and theatre dance. The young starters classes are on Saturday mornings  and the older student classes run on Sunday mornings. Our classes are kept small so we can provide proper attention to every student and bring out the best in each one.
