A rhythm focused tap workshop; fun and energetic and an exciting way to spend a Sunday afternoon. Brush up on your tap skills with new techniques, combinations and rhythmic challenges. UK percussionist and rhythm specialist Joelle Barker is renowned for her sensitivity and dynamism, having maintained a professional career for 25 years.
Her rhythmic journey began with tap dance at the age of 4, when she borrowed her brother's oversized tap shoes and played his drum kit whenever she could! She didn't stop there; she continues to study and teach tap today. She has performed on international stages as part of her act as a drummer/dancer with a Gypsy Jazz band. Dance and music are closely intertwined in Joelle's profession, as she upholds the family tradition.
